What if every new half term offered an opportunity to reconnect, rebuild relationships and reset? This interactive session explores how Hackbridge Primary has developed an attachment-aware, trauma-informed approach to creating emotionally safe beginnings throughout the school year. Through our 'Week Zero' model, half-termly resets and wider relational practice, we will share how we prioritise belonging, connection and readiness to learn. Attendees will visit classrooms, hear from staff and pupils, and explore practical approaches that can be adapted within their own settings. We will also share reflections from our journey, including challenges, adaptations and lessons learnt.
