An inclusion strategy should be for life not just the Christmas publication deadline.

We get it. At first glance the Inclusion Strategy requirements feel a lot like the Pupil premium document, could be interpreted as yet more paperwork, and there is a risk it becomes a dusty pdf in a long forgotten corner of your school website. 

You could wait til 31st December; work with your good friend Claude, use Co-Pilot or Chat GPT, and have a perfectly sensible sounding document by lunchtime.

The problem is, when the rubber hits the road, that well-worded, well-meaning document will probably mean very little in the reality of your school, trust or local authority life.

That’s why ahead of the deadline EdCity, London Violence Reduction Unit and Attachment Research Community are collaborating to create a space and structure for multi-academy trust and local authority leaders of inclusion, as well as senior leaders responsible for leading the strategy to come together to share, learn from and with, to enhance and sense check their vision, barriers and action. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring whatever they have; a draft strategy, emerging priorities, rough notes or simply their current thinking and use the morning to test and develop it. There will be a combination of short provocations, practical examples, constructive peer challenge and protected strategy-writing time. The aim is that participants leave with a clearer strategic vision, a sharper set of priorities and practical next steps.

The event is completely free to join, and leaders from outside London are heavily encouraged to attend.

Come with a strategy. Leave with a better one.

Getting Here

• By Underground: White City Station (Central Line) and Wood Lane Station (Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines) are both just a short 5-minute walk from the venue. 
• By Bus: Routes 72, 95, 220, 272, and 283 stop nearby on South Africa Road and Wood Lane. 
• By Car: There is no public parking available on-site. We highly recommend using public transport. The nearest public car park is located at the Westfield London shopping centre, which is a 10-14 minute walk away. 

Finding the Entrance

The building is situated on the corner of South Africa Road and Dorando Close. Please enter via the main entrance on EdCity Walk, where our event signs and team will be waiting to greet you.
