To deepen their understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and the behaviours that can arise from them. It explores behaviour through a relational and trauma-informed lens, helping staff to move beyond surface-level responses and consider the underlying drivers of behaviour.
Participants will develop greater confidence in recognising unmet needs, responding with emotionally intelligent strategies, and creating environments that promote regulation, safety, and engagement. The session also provides practical, evidence-informed approaches to support staff in embedding consistent, whole-school practice that improves outcomes for vulnerable pupils.
