This interactive in-person event shares how Hackbridge Primary has developed an attachment-aware, trauma-informed approach to transitions over a two-year journey.
The session explores emotional preparation, relationship-building, predictable routines, our “Week 0” model, and termly reset points.
Attendees will visit classrooms, hear from staff implementing these approaches, speak to our pupils and explore how relational planning and consistent routines support emotional safety and readiness to learn.
The session offers practical insight into developing transitions that reduce anxiety, support regulation and strengthen teacher–pupil relationships at key points of change.
