This course provides an overview of the Hearts and Horizons curriculum and the CARE approach as embedded across the whole school, with a particular focus on how these are informed by trauma-informed research and practices. Rooted in our school’s commitment to inclusive, supportive, and nurturing education, the Heats and Horizons curriculum aims to develop both academic achievement and personal growth. It is complemented by the CARE approach—a whole-school ethos that prioritises Connection, Awareness, Regulation, and Empathy—to create emotionally safe and engaging environments where all pupils, particularly the most vulnerable, can thrive.
