This webinar explores how Hackbridge Primary developed emotional literacy as the foundation for strengthening pupils’ capacity to regulate within a trauma-informed, attachment-aware framework.

The session focuses on teaching pupils to recognise emotions, notice bodily cues and understand behavioural responses, alongside staff training and shared language. It will explore how this work was introduced gradually, how staff judged readiness, and how practice was revisited and refined.

Attendees will gain insight into why emotional foundations matter and how this approach can be introduced thoughtfully and sustainably within a whole-school context.
